On June 23 executives of Sotheby’s Realty Affiliates, LLC; Mike Good and Jon Meschke, (CEO and VP of Affiliate Services, respectively) travelled to Seattle to welcome Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty to the network and to celebrate the opening of the Residential & Resort Showroom.  A private reception and dinner was arranged at the Four Season’s ART Restaurant, which was also attended by Dean and Stacy Jones, Sam and Laura Cunningham and Co-Founding Directors Moira Holley, Scott Wasner, Jim Stroupe and Julie Roh.  The next morning on June 24, Scott treated the esteemed guests to a private tour of Dale Chihuly’s famed Boathouse Studio on the north shore of Lake Union.  

In addition to witnessing original works of glass art being formed, the small entourage toured the Boat House including the NW room, the main dining room, the incomparable indoor pool (with incredible glass art in the bottom) and the gallery, which features Chihuly’s nostalgic collection of classic cars, motorcycles, children’s books and other priceless objects.  In conversation, Mike and Dean commented on how the Seattle area has produced so many innovative people and products, which has positioned the Emerald City on the world stage.  In a concert of creativity, artistry and natural surroundings the Boat House was the perfect prelude to the opening of the Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty showroom that evening.  Mike noted that Chihuly’s quest for the unique and extraordinary in art is (in many ways) consistent with his own pursuit to expand the worldwide network of Sotheby’s International Realty.
